Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Kejetia has called Ghanaians especially, people of Ashanti Region to give the deserving credit
to former president His Excellency John Dramani Mahama over the construction of the new Kejetia market
Their cause is termed as a wake-up call to remind the public that the construction of the new Kejetia market commenced under the auspices of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) within their last eight years regime.
The traders, who belong to the National Democratic Congress party, claims that it was by the good works of former president Mahama that brought about the erecting of the outstanding edifice of the new Kejetia market. In addition to their defends, the members hold the taught that former President John Dramani Mahama performed at the best in developmental projects like that of the new Kejetia and construction of school blocks. Citing with an example of the 200 hundred Community Day Schools of which he completed most whiles few were at various levels of completion.

Also, the NDC traders at Kejetia proclaim that all evidence proves it was former President John Mahama who cut the sod for the reconstruction of Kejetia market and they believe this gives a clear evidence to substantiate their argument of giving the credit to the former president over the new Kejetia market.
President John Mahama on Monday October, 2015 cut the sod for reconstruction of phase one of the Kumasi Kejetia Central Market to officially commence. The reconstruction of the multi million dollar project henceforth began.
The crusaders who are preaching to glorify John Mahama for the new Kejetia market say they don’t want the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to claim the credit for His Excellency the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for such a monument as they have been doing. They believe the NPP has been crediting themselves whenever they complete projects that were initiatives of president John Mahama since they came into power in 2016.
Nonetheless, the Kejetia traders of NDC party protest against this behavior of the NPP and call for the public to stand against it because they are prepared to create public awareness on who should be given the credit over the new Kejetia market.
