The General Manager of Ash 101.1 FM has been sacked from his position of the Kumasi based radio station on Friday, 15th February 2019.

Mr. Armstrong Essah is accused of taking advantage of his position as the General Manager of to mismanage the finances of the radio station.

Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, CEO of Kencity Media Ltd who is the owner of the Ash FM swiftly responded to the accusation and sacked the General Manager.

Reports gathered by proves that the incident happened during an official meeting which was held at Ash FM for the General Manager Mr. Armstrong Essah to give financial accounts of the radio station.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Asin Central lost the patient to comprehend the account which Mr. Armstrong Essah was giving that was not adding up to and in process dragged him out of the meeting.

The misunderstanding between the CEO of Ash 101.1 FM; Honorable Kennedy Agyapong and the General Manager Mr. Armstrong Essah escalated which consequently led to the sacking of the General Manager Mr. Armstrong Essah.

With immediate effect, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has set a four-member interim committee headed by Mr. Isaac Owusu Ansah who is the Head of Sport at Ash 101.1 FM to investigate the General Manager Mr. Armstrong Essah’s conducts.

Mr. Armstrong Essah joined 2010 Ash FM during the launch of Net2 TV in Kumasi as the General Manager of the radio station.

Ironically, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong was the good Samaritan who sponsored Mr. Armstrong Essah’s university education at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. (KNUST). The Ash FM CEO emphatically said Mr. Armstrong Essah now boast of holding a Masters Degree from KNUST and it’s all can be attributed to his sponsorship which he gave for free with the intention of helping Mr. Armstrong Essah.
