Jubilation and high expectations have filled the Ahafo Ano South East constituency following the appointment of Hon. Ibrahim Yamba Nelson Issaka as the District Chief Executive (DCE). While congratulations have poured in from across the political spectrum, constituents, particularly members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have voiced their hopes for unity and accelerated development in the area.

In exclusive interviews with Media9Network.com, conducted by Idris Ibn Mohammed, Managing Editor, several NDC members expressed their delight at the appointment. They emphasized the need for the DCE to prioritize the constituency’s needs and foster a spirit of collaboration.

“We are very happy for Hon. Yamba,” stated a prominent NDC figure in the Biemso II community. “His appointment is a testament to his dedication and service to the party and the people of Ahafo Ano South East. We believe he has the capacity to bring significant development to our constituency.”

Echoing similar sentiments, a staunch NDC supporter from Biemso I, added, “We have suffered from a lack of development for too long. We are calling on Hon. Ayamba to put the development of Ahafo Ano South East at the forefront of his agenda. We need better roads, improved healthcare facilities, and more opportunities for our youth.”

Beyond development, a recurring theme in the interviews was the call for unity within the NDC in the constituency. The Ahafo Ano South East NDC has faced internal divisions in recent years, hindering its effectiveness and impacting its performance in elections. Constituents believe that Hon. Ayamba, with his experience and skills, is well-positioned to bridge the gaps and unite the party.

“The NDC in Ahafo Ano South East needs to be united if we want to make a real impact on the lives of our people,” emphasized a youth leader in the Aburaso community. “We believe Hon. Ayamba can play a crucial role in bringing everyone together. He needs to reach out to all factions and work towards a common goal – the betterment of Ahafo Ano South East.”

Several constituents acknowledged the challenges ahead for the newly appointed DCE. They cited issues such as inadequate infrastructure, unemployment, and limited access to quality education as pressing concerns that require immediate attention. They urged Hon. Yamba to adopt a proactive and inclusive approach, engaging with all stakeholders, including traditional leaders, civil society organizations, and members of parliament, to address these challenges effectively.

“We know it won’t be easy,” admitted a market woman from Adugyama. “But we have faith in Hon. Ayamba. We believe he is a man of integrity and vision. We are ready to support him in any way we can to ensure that Ahafo Ano South East thrives.”

The constituents also called on the DCE to be transparent and accountable in his dealings, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and effectively for the benefit of the entire constituency. They emphasized the importance of regular consultations with the people and a commitment to addressing their concerns promptly.

Hon. Yamba’s appointment comes at a crucial time for Ahafo Ano South-East. The constituency is grappling with a myriad of challenges, but the overwhelming sentiment is one of hope and optimism. The constituents are placing their trust in the new DCE to deliver on his mandate and usher in an era of progress and prosperity for the area. The coming months will be critical in determining whether Hon. Yamba can live up to these expectations and unite the NDC while driving development in Ahafo Ano South East.
