The Ghana Labour Department has officially launched the JOBS (Just One Bold Step) Roadshow Campaign, an initiative aimed at raising awareness about the free employment services provided by the Department and public employment centres nationwide.

This campaign is designed to address Ghana’s ongoing employment and career development challenges by actively engaging job seekers, employers, and employment service providers. It also aims to promote legal migration pathways and improve access to essential labour market information and skill development support.

At the launch on Wednesday, April 30, Chief Labour Officer Dawuda Ibrahim Braimah emphasized the department’s commitment to delivering quality services and encouraged job seekers to take full advantage of the resources available through the campaign.

“Ghanaians should expect the best service from the Labour Department of the Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment. I will partner with GIZ on labour market information, job offerings, counselling services, and skill training. We have successfully collaborated with GIZ in the past and will continue to provide the best for our people,” he stated.

Charlotte Hanson, Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment, highlighted that the campaign would also assist the government in building a comprehensive database of job seekers through the Labour Market Information System.

“One of our responsibilities is to generate holistic data for government decision-making. We currently have a labour system interaction developed with assistance from the World Bank,” she explained.

The JOBS Roadshow will travel to key regions across the country, providing career guidance, on-the-spot registration for job seekers, and connecting skilled individuals with potential employers.
