On May 2, 2025, Ghana’s Health Minister, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, inaugurated a state-of-the-art 3D High-Definition Anatomy Table at Wisconsin International University in Haatso, Accra.

During the ceremony, Akandoh highlighted the significance of this investment in enhancing educational infrastructure and research capabilities. “This initiative is more than just an investment in physical infrastructure—it is a tangible demonstration of your commitment to education, research, and national development,” he stated.

The launch of the anatomy table marks a pivotal moment for Ghana’s educational landscape, with hopes of inspiring collaboration and discovery among researchers and institutions. Akandoh praised the university’s other advanced facilities, such as the Nursing Skills Laboratories, Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics Labs, Moot Court of the School of Law, and the School of Communication Broadcasting Studio. “These are not just impressive—they are transformative,” he remarked, calling for collective action towards a technologically advanced Ghana.

Professor Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice-Chancellor of KNUST and an affiliate of Wisconsin, commended the university’s efforts to integrate technology into teaching and learning, reaffirming her support as an affiliate partner.

Dr. Paul Kofi Fynn, founder and Chancellor of Wisconsin International University College, emphasized that the new anatomy table will support research leading to durable and cost-effective infrastructure, vital for addressing Ghana’s development challenges. “Through this project, we are equipping our educational institution to nurture a new generation of doctors, researchers, and innovators who will provide homegrown solutions to Ghana’s infrastructural challenges,” he explained.

The event was attended by numerous dignitaries, including the Minister of Education in charge of Tertiary Education, the Chairman of the University Board, a former editor of the Graphic Communications Group, representatives from Regent University, the Acting Vice President of Wisconsin International University College, faculty members, students, and the general public.
