In the coming weeks, several UAE companies are set to visit Ghana to explore and initiate investment opportunities, particularly in the food sector.
A significant outcome of recent discussions was the groundwork for a potential labor export agreement aimed at creating job placements in the UAE for Ghanaian youth. These developments are expected to be formally announced following the conclusion of negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

The agreements were established during a two-day official visit to the UAE by a Ghanaian delegation led by Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. A key highlight of the visit was the signing of a formal agreement to initiate high-level political consultations between Ghana and the UAE, which will serve as a strategic platform for advancing mutual interests and enhancing diplomatic relations.

During their visit, the delegation engaged with senior Emirati officials, including Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; and Lana Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs. They also met with ministers responsible for foreign trade and investment, as well as prominent figures from the Emirati business community.

Both governments have described the visit as a milestone in strengthening bilateral ties and accelerating economic collaboration.
